Heavy All-Purpose Mech
Typhoon is a 300-cost tanky ranged chaff clear unit that is strong against light units both on the ground and in the sky.

Technologies
Increases range by 40
Every 10 seconds, fires a marker missile with a range of 160 meters, marking enemy air units within a 100-meter radius of the target. Marked units have their range reduced by 20 and take 30% additional damage for 10 seconds.
Reduces incoming damage by 80%, up to 5 times.
Every 3 seconds, restores 500 HP to the Typhoon and friendly units within 100 meters. The healing amount increases by 500 per level.
At the start of battle, deploys a trench in place. While garrisoned, cannot move. HP increased by 70%, range increased by 20. If no enemies are within range for 7s, the Typhoon leaves and destroys the trench.
When destroyed, the Typhoon begins field reassembly and returns to combat in 5 seconds with 100% HP. Limited to 1 activation per round.
Units destroyed by the Typhoon explode violently, dealing 115 damage to all units within a 12m radius.

Strategy
Aside from the Mustang, Typhoon is the only chaff clear unit that can attack both ground chaff and wasps. However, Typhoon is a rare unit, so it is only available as Typhoon specialist or from a unit drop. While on its own, Typhoon has very low DPS for its cost and only moderate tankiness, it benefits greatly from levels, items, and technologies. A high-level Typhoon with an item and the Barrier technology is capable of some of the fastest chaff clear in the game, while protecting its own chaff and threatening serious DPS on even enemy giants. Typhoon’s remaining technologies reinforce its threat as a DPS unit, as Homing Missiles add significant single-target burst, Mechanical Rage increases the DPS by a large percentage, and Aerial Specialization allows Typhoons to contest tanky air units or play a stronger anti-Wasp role from a unit drop.
