Strategy
While crawlers are the most commonly used chaff unit, fangs are also used as chaff in a large variety of unit compositions. Compared to crawlers, fangs have a very slow movement speed, allowing them to be placed in the back of the army to provide a late distraction after the enemy chaff clear units have started to fall. This positioning also allows them to help deal with threats like wasps and air-based flanks. Fangs can also be placed in front of the army to protect against missiles and early lock-ons. The most common technologies used by fangs are Portable Shield (to greatly enhance their chaff role), Range Enhancement (to allow them to reach relevant targets such as wasps to deal damage), and Ignite (to counter aggressive giant units like sandworms). However, Mechanical Rage and Armor-Piercing bullets can shift high-level fangs into a high-DPS threat.
