Steel vs. Mobile Force
Steel vs Mobile Force was the first large community event organized in Mechabellum, taking place April 4-6 of 2025. Players who equipped their mechs with either the Steel or Mobile Force skins would have their wins tracked on a global leaderboard, thus contributing to the tug of war between the two factions. To make it all the more interesting, the winner of the event would have their win commemorated through an elite skin representing their faction. A host of creators from other strategic titles were invited to participate in the event’s Faction Hero Showmatches. All skill levels were represented during these BO3s, made extra crazy by the release of the Abyss right before the event. Notable wins with the new air titan were picked up by Grubby and Vortix for team Mobile Force and by Bearlike for team Steel. The event was stacked with pro showmatches too, dubbed the MAG100 tournament, as different regions battled amongst one another to determine the strongest player. During the German showmatches, Tungdil12 proved strongest, though Scion and Flower Fairy went above and beyond when [201] eventually clashed with EU’s top players. The NA team did not fare better, as once again it was [201] on top with victories from Shark Hunter and Feng Feng. This meant an all-Asian semi-final took place, where Scion qualified first, followed by Flower Fairy. The grand final ended quickly however, as Fairy swept his opponent 3-0, granting a major win for team Steel. Throughout the event, the Melting Point saw the most play across all levels, in part due to the prevalence of the new Abyss. Tarantula/Phoenix, as well as Hound/Raiden remained popular aggro comps, with the occasional Marksman/Vulcan or War Factory board being played in standard. After 3 days of awesome battles and content, the Steel faction ended up victorious, giving birth to the ‘Steel’ Crawler skin in-game.
