Holiday Blue vs. Red
Blue vs Red was a community-wide Tug of War event that took place from December 19th to December 25th in 2025. Players could register to pick a side, after which their wins on 1v1 ladder and Rift Mode contributed to their team's success. Over 2000 games were played by over 100 players during the event. Flower Fairy lead the charge for Red and China. Mathismight appeared as top contributor to Team Red's advantage winning 90 games. Team Blue's cobaltwhite, Memfisto, and Merlestagelicht fought at the top of leaderboard throughout the event, each giving Blue over 50 wins. In addition to the ladder event, MAG1 hosted the Holiday Blue vs Red Invitational tournament which boasted a $3,000 prizepool. Starting with 4 Red players from China and 4 Blue players from the other regions, there was a Blue Group and a Red Group in order to determine who made it to the semi finals, which had two red players and two blue players. This semifinals consisted of two Best of 5 where n_sacco defeated Tungdil12, and Flower Fairy defeated Shark Hunter. This ultimately lead to a Best of 7 finals between n_sacco (Blue) and Flower Fairy (Red), where Flower Fairy defeated n_sacco, securing him $1,500 and yet another 1st place in a MAG1 tournament. n_sacco put up a good fight and still walked away with $1,000. In addition to the ladder event and the Holiday Blue vs. Red Invitational, MAG1 hosted many top players from each team to battle in $100 BO3 Showmatches worth 10 wins for the winning team.
Holiday Blue vs. Red Red Wins

The meta during the event was captivated by asymmetrical defense and Sledgehammers. Sandworm proved to be the best performing overall unit with an astronomical win rate. For starting specialists, Speed Specialist finished as the event’s most powerful and Giant Specialist the most powerful and Giant Specialist the most popular. Winning compositions were supported most often by Marksman, Mustang, and Hound. Fortress + Wasp made a surprise appearance at the top of ladder this week. By contrast, Titans struggled, with Mountain most played but often found losing compared to smaller cost compositions. Additional Deployment and Mass-produced Sledgehammer were stand out non-unit reinforcements.

Both teams were neck and neck until the very last minutes, but in the end Red won the event with 1154 wins to Blue’s 1034 wins.

Players could call /leaderboard on discord to see an up to date list of all of the top performers in the event based on their win tally for their team.

Players were able to call /playercard name on discord to see their playercards which tracked Wins, Games and Winstreaks. When hitting milestones they would fill up a bar to allow them to try completing their cards during the event.
